This picture and the next one display a fine mulch finish. The fine finish takes a bit more time to achieve than a rough finish because It must be gone over a few times to grind up the material into smaller pieces. Most pieces are under 1 foot long but there are a few here and there that are over a foot long. The fine finish is great for areas where appearance matters because it looks nicer and the mulch breaks down faster than with a coarse finish. With the coarse finish most pieces are about a foot long but many pieces are 2 feet or up to 3 feet long. The coarse finish is a great option when a lot of ground is being covered and economy is a higher priority than appearance. Some example pictures of a coarse finish will be here soon!
